Link! The In-Between Cards

Description + How to Buy | Sample Cards | Details
These cards exercise not only imagination and creative problem-solving, but also strategic thinking skills - because essentially you have to figure out how to get your character from point A to point C.
What's on the cards: Each of the 88 cards features two scenarios. The first describes a situation that happens to a character. The second describes a future scenario that results from the initial scenario.
Here's the task:
-
- Participants come up with what happens in between these two scenarios that links them together. In other words, how did that initial scenario cause the future scenario?
- Think of it like a chain reaction, where the participants are coming up with the in-between events.
- This is a flexible activity. Answers can be super simple or incredibly elaborate depending on one's level of creativity. For instance, the linking events can happen in a few minutes or take years to unfold; they can be realistic or outlandish - even magical in some cases; they can be short (just one or two in-between events) or the chain reaction can involve multiple events.
To see some examples of answers, you can view the Intro pages to the PDF.
Age range: This pack offers a range of difficulty. Generally speaking, we'd say the minimum age is around 9/10-ish.
